Plum Island with my Sisters - July 18, 2015
In July 2015, I was looking for a second shooter. My little sister Julie volunteered and so I decided the best way to break her in was to drag her to the ocean. We brought My Love and My Mini Human, and our sister, Joy and her mini human. I was a little nervous because I had never been to the ocean when it was cloudy, and I wasn't sure how the day was going to go.
Honestly? I had nothing to worry about, and now, 3 years later, I actually prefer the clouds. There's nothing that says New England to me like a day by the ocean shrouded in clouds. (Don't forget, even if there are clouds, USE SUNBLOCK!!!)
I'm not a fan of changing lenses at the beach, so all of my shots were taken with a Canon 70D (Fred), and my kit 18-135 3.5-5.6 lens. I highly recommend a zoom lens for trips to the beach. They give you a range to work with, it will be bright enough to get great shots with a larger f-stop, and I am always nervous to change lenses at the beach since the sand could do a LOT of damage to glass and sensors.
Interested in heading to the beach? Email: firstname.lastname@example.org for session information! We have August 2018 booked but have a few spots open for September 2018, and summer 2019!
